Architecture Flow Definitions
current lane restrictions (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
Information provided to an enforcement agency that defines the current enforceable lane restrictions. It defines the location, duration, and restrictions for lanes that are reserved for the exclusive use of certain types of vehicles (e.g., transit vehicles) or vehicles that meet other qualifications (e.g., number of occupants, low emissions criteria). It identifies the lane(s), the start and stop locations, start and end times, vehicle restrictions, and speed limits.
emergency route request (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
Request for access routes for emergency response vehicles and equipment. This may be a request for ingress or egress routes or other emergency routes.
emergency routes (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
Suggested ingress and egress routes for access to and between the scene and staging areas or other specialized emergency access routes.
lane violation notification (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
Notification to enforcement agency of detected lane entry violations, lane speed violations, or other dynamic lane violations. Lane entry violations may be issued for restricted vehicle types or vehicles that do not meet required emissions or passenger occupancy standards that enter a managed lane. This notification identifies the vehicle and documents the lane parameter that was violated.
request for enforcement (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
Request for traffic enforcement of speed limits, lane controls, etc. on a roadway including in a work zone or other special situations.
road network conditions (Planned) Applicable ITS Standards
Current and forecasted traffic information, road and weather conditions, and other road network status. Either raw data, processed data, or some combination of both may be provided by this flow. Information on diversions and alternate routes, closures, and special traffic restrictions (lane/shoulder use, weight restrictions, width restrictions, HOV requirements) in effect is included.
